Mexia Health and Wellness Fair Set for February 15

Mexia, Texas – Parkview Regional Hospital announces the annual community health fair in partnership with the Mexia Area Chamber of Commerce and the Advocacy Center on Friday, February 15th from 9 am to noon at the Mexia Civic Center.

“This annual event is something Parkview Regional Hospital provides to the community in partnership with the Mexia Area Chamber of Commerce and The Advocacy Center,” said Jennifer Lynch, Director of Physician Recruitment and Community Relations at Parkview. “Each year, this event grows in the number of vendors who attend and the number of residents who enjoy the fair. There will be free and low-cost screenings, CPR education, educational materials, free giveaways and much, much more,” Lynch added.

The health fair, which is free to anyone in the community, will feature vendors from across the area offering health screenings, health information, promotional items, and more. Parkview Regional Hospital anticipates more than 40 different health-related organizations at the event.

This annual health fair not only provides necessary health and wellness information to our community, but it also allows Parkview to collaborate with other organizations and agencies in providing the best in medical care to the greater Mexia area.”

Attendees will be able to take advantage of grip testing, blood glucose testing, blood pressure screening, stroke screening, interactive lessons on chest pain signs and symptoms, hands-only CPR, and much more.
