Building Bridges and Healthier Communities - Annual 5K Announced

August 15, 2019

Mexia, TX – Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck and Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia are again preparing for the 2019 “Building Bridges for Better Health,” a five-kilometer run/one-mile walk scheduled for Saturday, September 28th at 8 am.

“We’re very excited about this year’s race, especially since we have the new bridge to host the annual event from,” said Jennifer Lynch, Community Outreach Director for Parkview Regional Hospital. “No more construction and the bridge is in place and ready to go for our 5K this year,” Lynch explained.

The bridge might be new, but the idea behind the two hospitals joining forces remains the same. The 5K has always been a collaboration between the two hospitals to improve the health and wellness of the communities they serve.
