Mary Gibbs Jones Inpatient Rehabilitation
The Mary Gibbs Jones Rehabilitation Center (MGJ) is integral to the rehabilitation program. MGJ specializes in comprehensive rehabilitation in a caring, inpatient setting. Individuals might find themselves needing such care after serious trauma, extensive surgery, or debilitating illness.
The unique, team-managed care at MGJ focuses on being the bridge between acute care hospitalization and the patients' return to the community, home, or care facility. Paramount to that process is the goal of assisting patients to achieve and maintain a maximum level of functional independence and a high quality of social and emotional well-being.
A team of skilled professionals work together to plan and provide an individualized treatment and training program specific to each patient. The team may include:
· Family and/or support persons
· Specialty doctors
· Physical therapists
· Occupational therapists
· Speech therapists
· Psychologists
· Rehabilitation nurses
· Social Workers
· Dieticians
· Respiratory therapists
· Pharmacists
